A chap at work has told me that I can run my PC4200 RAM at a seperate speed to the FSB and therefore reach my CPUs limit without overclocking the RAM too much - is this rubbish or is there a way to do it on an Intel 965 Gigabyte DS3.3 board?

ta!

Yer, it u should be able to set ** ram to run at a percentage of the cpu clock (*** happens on mine) but i don't know if the newer boards let you pick the clock.

If you call up the advanced bios (ctrl+F1) you can change the divider for the memory. I run mine the other way around so that the memory is clocked faster than the fsb. My 4300 can't get the most out of my PC2-6400 else.
