Do i need Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1?

Hey overclockers,

Im a vista ultimate 64 sp1 user and have recently noticed this new update on the ms website however it has not been displayed in windows update yet.
Im basically wondering do i need it?

Don't need it - but it won't hurt. It's updated features and perhaps security fixes for a framework people use to develop applications.

I also have the pc game spiderman web of shadows and it runs pants on my 8800gtx sli and have read that this net framework 3.5 makes a difference, Could this really affect gaming?
