Do i need my floppy drive

My new DVDRW should be delivered soon and at the same time im tempted to remove my floppy drive. I haven't used it in at least 3 years and can't see myself using it anytime in the future. So should it stay or should it go?

Take it out and keep it in a spare draw or w/e.

Floopy drivers are still often used to install drivers on computers when first making them, worth keeping it for when you make a new comp, just incase

Nah you don't need it at all especially if you have a USB stick.
The only time you would need it these days is if you want to BIOS upgrade, check for errors etc. & don't have a USB stick.

can u boot off a usb stick?

hmm... didnt know that. that makes installin sata drivers a little less of a faff!

I only use mine to install Sata drivers or an BIOS update otherwise its never used
