Hi,

Just wondering if I still need my NIC to connect to blueyonder? I.e Can I plug the modem straight into my motherboard? I thought (and im probably wrong) that blueyonder upgraded there setup so it just runs from modem....

Regards,

If you have an Ethernet port on the mobo, yes you can use that, though personally i still use a NIC, takes work off the mobo.

Why use onboard if you have a NIC sitting right there?

Your PCI slots with have 1 use at least that way...

As long as you power cycle the modem it doesn't matter what you use though they still maintain a limit on the number of different MAC's that can be used within 24hours last I knew though if your NIC's support the clone function you won't have a problem.
