Hey guys, i'm having s problem re-installing windows xp on my computer after trying out windows vista on my sisters computer.
I just wanted to ask if i need the sata disc everytime i do a re-install of windows.

The problem is i don't have the sata floppy disc anymore and i tried visiting asus wesbite for the all drivers for the "P5GDC-PRO" motherboard but it seems like asus have removed all the drivers for that motherboard.
I tried googling for the sata drivers for the motherboard, but i can't seem to find any.

So i was wondering if anyone can tell me if i need the sata dsic for the re-install and i would also appreciate if anyone can give me a link to where i can download the sata drivers for the asus P5GDC-PRO motherboard as the offical website is useless.

specs are as follows:

intel p4 3.0ghz
120gb maxtor sata hdd
his 9800 pro
asus P5GDC-PRO motherboard

There's bundles of files available for that motherboard.

I don't specifically see SATA drivers so to speak.

When you install the chipset drivers in windows is there not an option to create a sata driver disk?

I would have thought you can create a disk somehow, it would be a huge mistake on their part to just not offer a download for it unless there are other means to obtain the needed files, ie.. included with the chipset drivers.
