Hi,I was just wondering if i should buy a separate thermal compound for my CPU or is the one pre applied to the Artic Cooling freezer 7 pro good enough, i will be overclocking my i3.

Thanks in advance - Fras

Yep, the freezer comes pre pasted with arctic coolings mx2, like an idiot i scrubbed it off thinking it was a low quality compound.:o

The original Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro only used MX-1. The pre-applied MX-2 on the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 is indeed a nice bonus for a budget CPU cooler.

Yesterdayt I replaced the stock cooler with a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 in one of my company's PC which got a Pentium 4 3.00GHz CPU, and it brought the idle temp from 70C down to 45C :D

The freezer pro is a great little cooler, kept my E6600 at 56c under orthos load, even done ok on my q6600 at 3.4ghz until i switched to a TRUE black.

Further to MX-2, how long will my tube last? I've only ever used about 3 beads of the stuff. Does it have a shelf life?
