Just fitted a watercooled 4870x2 into my single cooling loop.
Previously only had the CPU cooled by water, letting the significant airflow of the 9x 120mm fans on my UFO case take care of the rest.
I've noticed how the CPU temps are up now, and I can no longer leave the rad fans on minimum as while gaming the cpu temps were high 50's, previously mid 40's.
My setup is EK Dual bay res with built in pump - going to Swiftech Apogee GTZ CPU Block - the EK block on the X2 - 120.3 rad - back to res.
Sitting at idle on desktop the CPU is reading 34/35/26/26
Not sure of GPU yet, or actual water temp but the res definately feels warmer to the touch. Perhaps its time to consider building a second loop? The case can take a 120.2 rad at the back and i've got space for the other bits and bobs.
Opinions?
