Do I need to do anything re. Static for my first build?

Will be undertaking my first build next week and hadn’t considered static. Is there anything I need to do or know?

Have you watched any YouTube videos on building a pc?
PC Centric has some good videos and he seems to have built a lot. He mentions static in one if I remember correctly.

I’ve watched plenty of his videos and builds but never heard him mention static or take any preventative measures

Just do it on a non carpeted surface and the overwhelmingly large chances are it'll be fine.

ok. It’ll be on my kitchen table and the floor is tiled
