I had to lap my Apogee XT as it had some scratches and after lapping a fair bit i started wondering in i need to lap any further.
As you can see from the picture the central area is where the most was taken off, while the end bits saw almost no lapping. I realise this could be a problem with bigger CPU's but the 1155 is fairly small and this central, lapped area on the waterblock, is bigger than the CPU itself.
So what do you guys think? To lap, or not to lap any further?

There are two reasons i'm hesitant to lap away:
1. Well, it would probably take another 2-3 hours, but that's ok if i have to.
2. I don't want to make the block too think so i'm worried it may crack under preassure.

cheers

The mirror finish itself is hardly a measure of a good lapping, though I do admit it looks rather nice. It's all about the levelness mate, and whether the discrepancies go deeper than you lapped, take a straight edge measure to it and see for yourself. :p

Bonus points for a mid-to-low angle shot.
