Do I need to overclock again

Hi guys I am new to this. A year ago I got my system built by OC, since then I have changed my HDD and installed win 7. I noticed where it said X3350 @ 3.50 before, it now reads @2.66 which is it`s original setting, so I does that mean I`ve lost the overclocking done by OC. Is there an easy way to get these properties back? What are my options. I am grateful for any advice.

That's the name of the chip '...@ 2.66' that windows reads and displays on some POST screens. It should also say the speed it's clocked at somewhere. The easiest way to tell is through a program called CPUz.

Thanks SteveB. CPUz reads: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3350 @ 2.66GHz. but my invoice reads x3350 2.66 @ 3.50GHz+. Is it possible to lose the overclocking as I changed HDD and OS,or as the hardware is overclocked it remains that way. I hope I am not sounding really silly, I was just wondering if I had to get my system overclocked again. Thanks again.

If cpu-z is reading it as Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3350 @ 2.66GHz this would suggest that the OC settings have been lost.
There are only 2 ways i know of how this can happen . 1 if you update the bios to a new version or 2 if you had to reset the bios after installing the new hdd.

what to do where it says core spped in cpu-z double check there as it will give the current cpu speed.

if it is reading 2.66Ghz then i would consider contacting OCUK for a copy of the settings they used to reapply the OC.
