I own Windows 7 Pro (boxed version, not OEM)
I upgraded for free to Windows 10
I have since changed graphics card, processor and memory, no isssues.
However, I wondered where I would be for a full system upgrade?

Am I stuck with Windows 7 Pro (as the free upgrade to 10 has expired)
The W7 Pro Code will work for installing W10
Or do I have to purchase Windows 10 again?

Thanks in advance. Just need to know if I need to factor the payment of an OS into my next build?

If it's a retail 7 pro key, then it will work as a 10 pro key. Did this myself over a year ago and my 7 pro key activated 10 pro without any issues.

Excellent, so do I have to download Windows 10 and burn to a disk?
Or can you install Windows from a USB Stick?
Then on my new build I just enter the Pro Licence Key and good to go?

Thanks for the feedback labcoattech and orcvader nice to know that extra hundred quid can go towards the build
