do i need to reinstall drivers for my new gpu?

Hey guys,

Ordered a 7990 today to replace my 6990, do I have to reinstall the drivers or will the new card run fine without doing it

I usually uninstall all graphics related drivers and then clean up any left over junk files, power down, replace new with old, power up, install drivers.
