Do I need to restart PC after renaming the hdd

I went to my computer and renamed my C drive from "Local Disk" to "Windows 7 OS". Is it necessary to reboot afterwards?

You never have to restart for anything anymore.

Nope, dont have to, only time you need to is if you change network name and it will ask you for it.
