I just bought the Asus P5K about a week ago, and have noticed a sort of high pitched hissing sound, louder when under load but still noticible when doing normal things like browsing. The noise is coming from here (forgive the picture, camera phone
):
I'm almost positive it's coming from this solid state capacitor (I assume that's what it is, though I may be way off), because if I touch it lightly with a piece of rubber I can change the frequency of the hissing.
Should I RMA this board? The only reason that I'm hessitant is because I've heard Asus have an awful RMA service
