I just got my new card (x1950 AGP) and whilst comparing it to one I've previously seen I noticed it had something missing.
Its a small pad which fits around a chip on the underside of the card (its circled in red in this picture of another card). I investigated and the chip is the PCIe to AGP bridge called RIALTO. I can't really see that the pad is there for anything other than protection?
Can anyone tell me if this is anything to worry about and put my mind to rest, or do I need to RMA the card for a replacement?
Many thanks
