Do I need to upgrade from my opty.

This is for my HTPC. I also use it for playing games such as COD, COD2, mohaa and combat flight sims on a Panasonic 42" plasma.

Im getting an Nvidia 7950 GT and putting in 2G RAM. ATM I'm running an opty 146 @2.6GHz. Would it improve my gaming experience by changing it to a dual core 939 chip?

or am I having a minor bout of upgrade fever that will go away if I ignore it?

I know the 7950 is not exactly a total powerhouse, I was just concerned that it may be throttled by the opty.
