Please go troll somewhere else.

Oh no, he called me a troll, *dies* seriously dude if you have a valid counter argument make it. The OP's PSU is more than capable of running his system perfectly fine, fact.

Not directed specifically at you here but I'm getting seriously fed up with the amount of PSU Nazism on this forum in recent times, the way people carry on these days you would think that before XFX/Corsair/etc entered the PSU market everybody's power supplies were exploding twice a week. In the last few months I have seen people flamed for having PSU's made by Delta and Enermax (two very reputable brands). A lot of people seem to have taken the approach that if it doesn't look super shiny and have the name of a top GPU/SSD/etc manufacturer on it it must be junk, despite the fact that none of those companies make the PSU's powering 3D rendering/CAD workstations or servers with a dozen HDD's and 4 CPUS...

Give me one single scrap of decent evidence showing that CiT PSU's are decent PSU's and I may be tempted to sway. But as it stands they are not decent PSU's and therefore are not to be trusted.

Can't link to other forums but if you Google "C.I.T POWER SUPPLYS .... THE RANGE" there's a pretty good write up. I bought a CiT 550w modular PSU from here a few years ago and it was great, the casing was thinner/lighter metal than a "high end" brand and they hadn't put an amazing effort into making it look sexy but that's to be expected for cheaper, the thing did its job great and powered an overclocked Q9650 along with a 9800 GX2 and a bunch of SCSI drives fine, the system was later changed to a i3 540 @4GHz with a GTX 470 and then to a i5 2550K @4GHz with a 2GB HD7850 and I never had any issues. I would still be using it in my current rig however I converted to passive water cooling and as the only thing in the system making any noise it had to go in favour of a CM silent pro. At the end of the day cheap doesn't always mean bad because its relative, were not talking about an £8.99 Casecom PSU here :P

If your talking about the microdirect one thats hardly a review. That said I can't find any proper reviews from JG, HCP etc which never looks favorably on the PSU in question.

Nah I was aiming for the toms hardware mini write up. Im not claiming they are as good as XFX/Corsair/Seasonic/etc just that being cheaper does not make them bad, just "not as good", his PSU will be fine with an overclocked Phenom II and a HD7850 (especially as his new GPU is rated at a slightly lower wattage than his his current one which its running fine).

I didn't say review I said write up, specifically because I didn't wanna confuse it with a review :P if you want I can review my 550w modular one as its still in the cupboard but that would proberbly just consist of out of focus pictures and maybe a blurry video of htings moving and me saying "look it plays crisis!" :D
