Do i need to upgrade?

Hello all, i am tempted towards either upgrading my desktop or getting a laptop. From my current desktop spec below, do you think i will be needing to upgrade to play games coming out in the next 12 months? And if i do upgrade, will a new mobo and an I7 with 16GB squeeze into my Antec?

Q6600 @ stock
8GB RAM
ATI R5850 1GB
Antec P182
Corsair HX620W

I would probably look at the i5 2500k, unless you require the extra of the i7.

This should fit fine in your current case.

At what resoloution do u play games?

Thanks both, will the current PSU cut it? Whats a good 16GB RAM Kit for the 2500k? Dual or tri channel?

Sandy Bridge is dual channel.

16GB is a waste for a gaming rig.

4GB is enough and 8GB is plenty.

Hi thanks for the info, i need 16GB for VM's. Been struggling with 8 for too long!
