OP, no-one technically 'needs' 120Hz for PC gaming, however you have 2 7970s...so yes, in your case go for it. Just be aware that to get 120fps at 5760x1080 resolution you're gonna have to turn down the odd graphics setting or 12
i think 150hz'ish is about right for our eyes. i know we can pervieve over 200hz but there has to be a resonable limit where its not a worth while gain
try out the 144hz panels and see if you can overclock to 150hz.
Failing that i have an AMD monitor overclocking utility that took my 60hz monitor to 85hz and it felt noticebly smoother. Ive heard after 90hz there starts to be a drop in percieved smoothness gains
If you use 3 TN monitors for multi screen the colour / contrast shift will be very poor... Much more noticable than 60hz vs 120hz if you have never tried 120hz anyway.
