At the moment don't have anti virus, I have never really heard of anyone on osx needing one, however after reading the thread about the keylogger in GD I'm tempted to get one.
But you really do have to know what you are doing...
To the OP: If you have a hardware router and are careful with what Apps you install you should not need any AV software. However for piece of mind you may - just avoid Norton.
No, you don't really need one and as for installing applications, they don't install unless you are asked to put in password (or click ok if no password).
BUT if you're using Mail in Mac (non-web-based e-mail) and share/forwarding files regularly with Windows users then it might be wise to get AV since you don't want to pass on unsuspecting viruses for windows users!
