My PC died last weekend, and oddly took out both the mainboard and GTX570. Mobo would power cycle, and the GFX would get artifacts after about 30 seconds.

I have a 2nd hand mobo arriving, and a GTX980 to get me back running.

I've tested my OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w PSU (4 years old) and it powered up and ran another system fine. However, I'm concerned that this may have been the reason for 2 components dying at the same time?

Worth replacing it JIC? Moneys tight so I'd rather not if I didn't have to...

I agree, I wouldn't trust that power supply. Two components going at the same time does sound like to much of a coincidence.

I'm not sure if the OCZ ModXStream has a good reputation also. I'm sure someone else could confirm whether this is true or not.
