Hi all,

A weird one here... I have been having all sorts of weird issues with my PC. I thought it was the GPU (GTX570) as it was getting artefacts, I replaced it (GTX970). Thought it was the motherboard (ASUS P6T Deluxe v2) as when I removed the RAM/GPU it wouldn't beep, replaced it.

(Upgraded RAM during all of this as well as there was periods where the PC worked)

So yesterday I got the new motherboard (supermicro x8sti-f), I had just bought a X5660 so thought I might as well set up a home server with it when I upgrade my whole system later in the year.

But it had different issues. With the RAM not installed the board I would get the beep indicating as much (yay getting somewhere) but then install RAM (both new and old) and nothing.

So at this point I went to work, liberated my PC (custom workstation with enough components for me to do some more problem solving) switch out power supplies and BOOM it all works.

I put the old PSU in my works PC it powers on fine. Put it back in my PC it powers on fine.

So TL;DR changed PSU in my system it works after a month of trouble shooting. Put it in another system it works, put it back in my system it works.... Do I RMA it anyway?

Could it have just been a loose connection on the PSU side (modular)?

Not quite sure how this is PSU related, but if you have tried the AX760i on multiple system and it worked fine, then there's no reason for you to RMA it.

But you're probably right, a loose connector could have caused that problem.
