I'm in 2 minds...
Do I sell my Wii (while I can get a good amount) & buy the 360 or not?

The reason i'm in 2 minds is because I can play most 360 games on my PC (even hooked up to my TV & with 360 controller). I hardly play on my Wii but i've downloaded a few good retro games on it lol :D

Well now would be a good time to well your Wii as you'll probably make more than you paid, you can always pick one up again when the drought ends next year.

I had a wii, fun for a bit but with my 360 it didn't get much of a look in, so i sold it for a profit and bought the Z-5500 5.1 system for my xbox.
If your not using it, flog it for a profit, you can always buy one back at a normal price once the hype dies down.

It is good for retro games, but I'd rather pick up a SNES and 20 games for about 20 quid and just get the Xbox 360 which has lots of games more suited to individual playing / adults :)

Perfect reasoning and what I would recommend.
Also, I feel the Xbox360 has a rock-solid catalogue of games, so that's definitely another reason to get one.

Is it really worth it considering I can play most 360 games on the PC (ok, sometimes a couple of months later)?

But that's not necessarily true. A lot of the time you have to wait, only to get an inferior version.

You won't have Halo 3 for around 2-3 years, Mass Effect possibly the same (judging from Jade Empire). Dead Rising won't go to PC.
GRAW, GRAW2 and Vegas were all superior console offerings.
Guitar Hero 2 and 3 (I know PC has 3, but it has a ridiculous specification required!)

I was a massive PC gamer until December 2nd 2005.

Last time I checked, Nintendo carts were selling on auction for roughly the same as VC prices.

I would say the Wii is more suited to adults who are totally unaware or simply dont care about the technical superiority of the 360 and ps3 and want some quick pick up fun with friends and family. Its a bonus for adults who sold their old consoles years ago, some of the old game design just oozes quality.

The kids argument is irrelavant, trust me, Kids will play anything.
I get bored of our 360 and Wii in turns, I'm the wrong end of 30:cool:

I'd sell it, with the money you'd get for it right now you could buy a 360, and then if you miss the Wii, another Wii when the prices come down.

I'm a Xbox 360 owner and want a Wii. So I'd say keep it or sell it, make profit, buy an Xbox then re-buy the Wii :)

Also, I was a big PC gamer, but havent really touched any PC game for atleast a year, just a bit of Counter-Strike now and again. I got fed up with all the problems, drivers, framerates, updates, bugs etc. With a Xbox it tends to be, buy it, put it in, lots of fun :)

I sold mine for a PS3 the other day mate I would suggest selling to get a 360 because there isn't gonna be another time like this to make profit :D Crazy people. You could always get one later on next year when this "Shortage" ends

I wouldn't bother, there's nothing compelling on the Xbox if you have a decent PC. I bought one because I'm away from home during the week, its pretty disappointing and I'm selling it when I'm back home more.

At the end of the day, if you are not using it, and can sell it for roughly you paid for it, where is the choice? If you miss it later, buy a new, dust free Wii for the same money!

EDIT: As for the whole "nothing compelling" argument, thats a matter of opinion. PGR4 and Forza2 will probably never come to the PC, and plenty of others won't for ages, if at all.
