Do iMacs hold better value than Macbook Pros?

Just doing some searching and it appears to be the case, wondering if anyone else has noticed the same?

A family member is looking for a 5k 27'' iMac and notice that refurb units aren't as cheap as I thought they would be for being say 2015. e.g. 2015 iMac refurb is for sale at £815.... new that was probably £1600?

I don't know, just thinking for 6 years old it's on the high side?

They have always held value well, part of that being it’s including the decent display as well which was fairly high end.

That being said, not sure I would want a 5 year old intel iMac now considering the move to the new processor family.
