Do microsoft VGA cables for the 360 exist? - Pics added

or are the ones for sale on EBay etc, fakes?. Mine arrived with the spelling "miorcsoft" on it :/, seems to work alright tho, or is this a foreign spelling or something?

Official MS ones exist yes.

What was the packaging like? (Got pics?)... Sounds dodgy though.

Hmmm the spherical xbox logo looks wrong too.

i can post some pics later, when i get a chance.

That does look very dodgy indeed, and I'd question the seller about that, as they're selling products which aren't as advertised, but you never know, MS could have a typo :o

funnily enough it works better than my madcatz cable ..... and the Joytech one i had :D

Has anyone got pics of the genuine article and what do you think i should do about this?.....leave bad feedback, Report him to microsoft/Ebay?

no intructions, hologram or extras in it....but the box was firmly sealed and appears brand new, as if straight from the manufacturer.

Seems i got me a poor counterfeit, damn it! 3 cables and each ones been nothing but trouble, in different ways :/

The official microsoft one has an audio adaptor so you can plug it into your pc line in and it also has a vga gender changer.

yeah, but this guys pretty low level :)

Looks like someone else got a fake too and posted in the sellers feedback, if only that feedback was there when i ordered.

lol i still chuckle at miorcsoft lol

what does it actually say on the cable?? and how my did you pay, if you dont mind me askin?

yeah "miorcsoft new prodect" hehe :)

paid 19.99 + 3 quid postage, so not much over the asking price of official ones. Hes rather keen to refund, hes just replied to my enquiry, says he didnt notice they were fake, which i dont beleive as hes already responded to the negative feedback he got about it on EBay.

how does someone fake a cable anyway, you would have to have access to some kind of factory to make these things?

well they can fake AMD processors so i dont think a cable would be too hard to knock up out there in the east

I'd guess it's a big business, as you probably wouldn't need a massive amount of machinery or anything, though the connectors and plastic mouldings would be that hardest to come by as the 360 doesn't have standard connections. By selling these things at high prices, then I'd have thought they could make a couple of quid, though would be quite difficult.

I can confirm they are fake. :(
