Well, i passed one on my way out of town after work this evening. I was doing about 40 MPH in a 30 because i was just leaving the restriction and to my supprise i saw the van tucked away on my right.

Basically do they work in the dark and do i stand a good chance that he was packing up and getting ready to go home ! :(

there's no flash on the camera though, I'd be suprised if they could get a good enough picture to nail you with so at the least you could palm the points off on someone else insured.

is it now? wow, i always thought they were stills.

damn those police (sorry safety camera partnerships) so now I can't even speed at night lol.

This ST really has to go! any takers?

Since when did speed cameras not work at night?! :/

I know the M25 has variable limits which are turned off and on, but that's about it isn't it?

At night without a flash I just dont see how they can get ** front number plate with your headlights on?

Unless its a rear facing one? It's like when you see a car coming towards you at night. You cant see the number plate at all so surely a video wouldnt work?!

They also use a photo at night for the reg plate..

I know because I saw a bloke get flashed by one infront of me. It's a little camera unit mounted on a tripod near the van.
