Do some films have sleep triggers for you?

Hi,

Anyone ever experienced this?
Sometimes I try and watch a new film or series and end up nodding off half way through.
The next day I try and rewatch with the aim to finish what I started. But still end up nodding off at the same section.
And then the next time too.

Just to be clear - it’s not the same time or certain viewing situation. It seems definitely linked to the content.

Is it because the first time I nodded off it established a pattern. Or something in that particular movie was a trigger?

Cheers.

I couldn't find the English version lol, this is the sleep conditioning scene.

I remember trying to watch Bad Boys 2 when it came out and had to give up as I kept falling asleep after 3 attempts.

I don't know but my girlfriend does my head in with this. We spend 30mins arguing about to watch after dinner then she's asleep within 45mins :o

I used to put Star Wars on every night when I was on the early shifts. I love the film but that used to do the trick every time.

Titanic. Seriously. Everyone says how much they love it but I've yet to through it through to the end I always nod off half way through I'm not sure why its so soporific its probably the length its too long to hold interest for that length of time, for me at anyrate.
