Do these 4870x2 Temperatures seem Right ?

Hi there, the other day I posted about my crappy Crysis framerates, but I'm over that now :D Basically, one of the problems I thought it was, was the extremely high idle temp of my 4870x2 (83 degrees).

Anyway, people said thats normal, but being extremely worried about my hardware, I decided to up the fans to 45% using Rivatemp.

Now I'm getting temperatures of 32 degrees idle, and 42-5 degrees when playing crysis, according to CCC and GPU-Z. Is this right, or is something wrong with my temperature sensors :(

In terms of cooling, I'm using the Antec 900, with the 3 Case fans on high, and as I said before, the GPU fan is on 45%.
 
I would say they are the correct temps but they do seem really cool. If 83 idle was correct then so are these. I would not worry though if you are seeing no problems with the card in games such as artifacts.
 
The fan at the default speed is rubbish there is nothing to worry about with the temp because these cards love to produce heat. since i got mine i have had to keep the radiator off in my room.
 
Ok, good to know, was getting worried for a sec (once again) :P. BTW TheRealDeal, what exactly do you mean by 'artifacts' (I'm still learning about this stuff :D )

Well, I did get a much 'milder' version of that before I changed the fan speed. On crysis, some of the rivers had little specs of colour, but since I changed the temps I've seen no such thing. Nonetheless, good to know for future reference :)
 
make sure you have the Catalyst AI on advanced... otherwise only one gpu will work :D I have just found out by playing with the farcry2 demo.
