Hey guys, just trying to get the best out of this setup getting ready for upcoming games and have tweaked a few settings:

Just wondering if that all looks ok? I saw in CPU-Z the memory speed is reported at 445MHz instead of 500/499 could this be because of the strap setting to 400mhz?

My CPU does not like running at 400fsb either with a 9x multi but temps at 333x9 are 28 idle 40~ load.

Ram is 2x2GB GSkil DDR2 1000MHz 5-5-5-15 kit.
The vcore droop maybe quite high though? I noticed when in use the vcor drops to 1.28 and idle it's 1.31 so should I up the vcore to 1.625 so vdroop is compensated ?

It's fine the way it is but you could tweak the following:

up the PCI freq to 110 (small gain)

Tighten the ram timings Cas 4 if possible. 4-4-4-12 maybe?
Enable Transaction booster and set to 1.
Up the CPU voltage only if the CPU is unstable

You are correct about the strap :)
 
Ah many thanks! I set the fsb strap to auto and my ram is now a healthy 1ghz (2:3 divider)

I can't adjust the timings to be any tighter though as my mobo doesn't like high ram freq + tight timings unfortunately with a overclocked cpu!

I think this may well be my sweet spot :)

If I get any crashes I'll up the vcore a bit of course.

Also best t leave nb voltage on auto?
