Do these things just not overclock??

Hi,
I have an AMD X2 5000+ - and can only get to 2.705ghz before system hang or BSOD any ideas? thanks. specs in sig.

are you also raising your CPU voltage or only raising the FSB?

I have one of these in my spare rig and mine will not go over 2.7 as well, i have given up now anything over 210 FSB and it would BSOD, its on a chepo bored that wont let you adjust the vcore so that could my problem, if yours lets you bump the core up to 1.35 and watch the temps see if it makes any diff then you fine tune down after if it passes

I am using one right now at 3.0Ghz its not BE settings as follows:

Muilt X13
FSB 239
Volts 1.45(ish)
HT Link X4
CPU:RAM Ratio 1:3:3?? (the one that sets it to 667 might be 1:6:6)

i get mine BE at 3.1 at stock vcore... did 3.4 before cant remember what settings i used...

3.1 at stock is good wish i new what BE was when i brought mine
