As the title says do you bring your camera to work, be it a simple point and shoot to a monster 1dx?

i do. i tend to bring my 5d3 with me all the time as i tend to have more time to take shots outside in my lunch break then in the weekends.

i sometimes even bring my 70-200 f2.8 to work like now!!

Last week my mate played a prank on me and hide my camera on his desk. felt like punching him lol so from now on i keep my camera locked down lol as sometimes i just leave it on my desk whilst away from my desk too LOL:eek::eek:

Serves me right for my mate playing a prank on me LOL

I do. It always seems to be the days I leave it at home that I see something amazing, so I just bring it with me just in case. I just picked up a Lumia 920 and the camera on it is quite respectable though, so I'm considering leaving my gripped 550D at home to a) keep it safe and b) save me carrying the beast around.

No, it would be broken rather quickly and I have a load of collegues who provide me with more than enough photos and videos if I need them. I also have a lot of members of the public trying to give me footage and photos as well, unfortunately most of them are poor quality.

Surely everyone takes their phone to work? :p

I'll take the DSLR into uni occasionally. Not very often though, it's very counter productive to work...

I don't for a couple of reasons....

- I wouldn't like to leave my camera lying about, even in an office which is quite well secured, I wouldn't feel right about leaving it somewhere as you never know. At one company I worked at, a laptop was pinched by someone during a large meeting. It probably happened in plain view and nobody was any the wiser.

- With the industry I work in, security is taken very seriously and you are usually made to sign a no disclosure agreement which includes things like taking photos which could give things away. So while likely everybody already has a camera on them and you probably would be doing no harm having a DSLR with you, I wouldn't want to spend too much time waving it around as it might start raising questions.

Only on studio shoot days - so once a week generally.

ps. Johnny do you have some sort of software that posts twice to hear and TP? lol :)

I bring mine to work occasionally. I haven't while the weather has been bad though as I have to walk on ice for a mile. Well, did, it's melted now.

Have done recently, as on lunches I have gone for a walk with it :)

I know on occassions a couple of the other guys bring in theirs, so on some days there is a a Canon 5dII, 7d, 400d, and at least 1 Nikon :)

I normally have a snap-shotter in my pocket at all times, either my TZ-08 or my F10 depending on which happens to be charged up. I don't have much call to use them but they were nice to have in the recent snow.

I have a phone but I find the 'poke button, sweep screen, poke different button' much more of a pain than 'switch on and point'

Always bring my GRDIII with me in a jacket pocket, and I usually keep a camera in my bag, most of the time a film camera as the Ricoh is perfect for snapshots.

In the spring and summer I take my D90 + 300mm f/4.0 + 1.4xTC to wok several days a week, lots of opportunities for ospreys, bald eagles, otters, Nutria, kingfisher, Goshawks, Vultures etc. In the winter there are somewhat less opportunities but moreover it is dark when going and leaving work.

I now have a E-PM2 with 50-150mm (300mm FF equivalent) which fits nicely in a jacket pocket s will likely take this more often.

I don't tend to go out at lunch much, an hour at lunch time equates to working an hour later in the evening, I rather get out of the office earlier. Besides which, the light in the middle of the day sucks and I rather spend the time at sunset.
