Do UK Mail delivery on a Sunday?

I've just been told by T-Mobile UK that my item will be out for delivery tomorrow (Sunday). I thought this sounded strange because I wasn't aware that any courier companies delivered on a Sunday?

Does anyone else here know if UK Mail delivers on a Sunday?

Yodel have delivered to me on a Sunday before now. Being Yodel it was supposed to come on the Thursday before, but I guess Sunday was close enough for them and I actually got the delivery, always a bonus with Yodel!

Edit: Sorry, should have made clear that they do definitely deliver on a Sunday as 'normal' as I queried the guy who delivered about it being delivered on a Sunday and he told me that they do. It wasn't just because they'd missed the original slot, which I seemed to imply in original reply :oops:

RM, nope. They offer Saturday guarantee on Special Delivery and that's expensive enough.

Couriers, same basic deal.

As above, Saturday Delivery only and I doubt they'll have plumped for that. Expensive.

I just spoke with T-Mobile again and they said UKMail won't deliver brand new orders on a Sunday but as it's a replacement service I've requested, they will do. Interesting, they must have a separate deal with them. Still somewhat sceptical as to whether it'll arrive...

you have to wait 48 hours so that wouldn't work. (if you missed delivery on Friday you would only be able to get it redelivered on Monday at the earliest)

Maybe it does class as a collection though because they collect my faulty device over the door and then hand me a brand new one.

I guess I'll have to wait and see.
 
My dad had his replacement delivered on a Sunday at 8pm, not sure it was UKMail though - I think it was a sub-contractor (basically a Polish dude in a battered old car) - that was from EE

Ahh. That is good news then. They did give me time slots from 9AM till 10PM which I found bizarre. I did think it'd be a contractor.
 
Royal Mail delivery a card to my letterbox as I was out last Sunday.

Pretty inconvenient because had I known they might deliver on Sunday I would have been in to receive the parcel, instead I trekked to their sorting office 3 days later.
 
It will likely be some sort of Sameday service if it comes on Sunday. General express stuff wouldn't be delivered on a Sunday.

You're very lucky that they even attempted a delivery on a Sunday as it must have been someone on overtime trying to clear a backlog as it's not a normal thing.
