Do you add to Wikipedia?

I use wiki quite a lot but have never added to it. Don't really know how it works, if anyone can add to it what's to stop inaccurate information being added?

I've not added anything directly, as I've always assumed I'd do it badly, and I don't know any of the wiki formatting you have to use. Instead, I add it to the discussion, letting someone who knows what they are doing deal with it.
