Do you connect both USB 3.0 and 2.0 headers?

Hi,
First build and this might be a dumb question but...

On my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WiFi Mini ITX) there are 2 headers for USB:
- F_USB30 (USB 3.0/2.0) - blue connector with 19-pins.
- F_USB1 (USB 2.0/1.1) - 9-pin connector.

I'm using the BitFenix Prodigy case and the sidepanel has 2 (blue) USB ports with a cable that has a blue 19-pin USB 3.0 connector and an extension with a 9-pin USB connector.

I've connected up the blue 19-pin connector but do I need to bother attaching the other 9-pin connector as well or is it redundant?

You wont need to connect the USB2 9 pin connector since you have the USB3. Any USB2 device plugged in will still work with USB3, I think the 9 pin is just for motherboards that don't have USB3.
