I own a Subaru, more often than not if I see another then they will give me a friendly wave. However sometimes I make the effort and get ignored which makes me feel like a tit

.

I think classic Mini owners do this too. Not sure who else though.
Anyone else do it? and what do you drive.

Only works if you drive an Impreza, if you drive a Forester or a Legacy (even the nutty turbo and twin turbo versions) then Impreza drivers will just ignore you.

I own a Ford Focus - the most common car on the road network. One time there were six Foci including mine parked behind each other. So based on that, no I don't do a friendly wave.

Had a couple of people flash me in my MR2 :cool:

Of course I didn't flash them back as I wasn't watching out for other MR2s so by the time I popped my lights up they'd be gone past. So I just waved back

A while back was with a work collegue in an at the time brand new bright yellow Seat Ibiza.

An old man in another brand new bright yellow Seat Ibiza went past in the other direction and flashed his lights and waved...

Define uncommon? I can drive from Cambs to the Lakes and not see a single one.

I always have people waving at me, seems mostly by people who only have 1 or 2 fingers though. Weird that.
