I see so many people at restaurants, particularly carveries and the like, pile their plates up higher and higher with food and then demolish the lot.

If I eat too much, I feel unwell. Big meals make me feel exhausted and even gives me palpitations. My doctor has told me not to worry as it does happen to some people.

Anyone else here suffer badly after eating too much or are you all gannets :p

did yesterday, an Indian buffet all you can eat, and it was amazingly good. Couldn't move all day after that.

I don't tend to go to all you can eat, but if I'm cooking it'll usually be pretty big portions. Big is relative though.

I don't feel full until like an hour after I stop eating. This means it's quite easy for me to over-eat given the opportunity!

I can eat obscene amounts of food, i do like large portions but i try my hardest to not to give in to my demons. Hangovers are generally what cause large portions.

lol thats a good excuse but it is actually true not an hour tho between 5 and ten minutes it takes to register

I had it drummed into me when I was young that I should clean my plate.

As long as it's possible to do so with only moderate discomfort I will do so or feel wrong. However if it's clearly too big to eat I'll eat far less.

I hate waste and I can't seem to get it into my head that food I don't want isn't just wasted by eating it, it's harmful.

yer clear your plate was the advice when i was a kid also

knowing what i know now i would never force a kid to eat more than they need to

mind you a fried breakfast was deemed healthy fare in thos days

I try not too, but I am known to have stupidly large portions...

Especially if I am cooking for just myself and I realise I've cooked enough for 2 - 3 people, I have just eaten the lot. Not a proud moment afterwards.

We was all told as kids to clean our plate. Difference is then your mother cooked stews and soups and proper hearty meals that were from fresh ingredients and not a packet, we went allowed to help our selfs to the crisps and chocolate and we didn't sit on our back sides all day either. The food was burnt faster than we could eat it!

as long as your not gaining unwanted weight eat what you like as soon as you do stop lol not advice i would give in a proffesional capacity but .. if it tastes good eat it ..

Day to day diet, I eat a lot but spread over a few meals as it's just not convenient to do otherwise. However, I can put away a lot of food if I have to - though I prefer smaller meals, certainly if it has lots of carbs in it.
