Do you ever type a post then delete it?

Yep all the time, usually i type up a post then delete it thinking that either:
1) the question has been answered
2) no real merit in my post
3) Cant Be Annoyed

hence I lurk more than i post

no. never. unless a mod deletes it for me lol.

i am who i am and how i think defines my character. i'm not perfect and never will be, so you will all have to put up with my wit/charm/moods etc. ;)

if i considered every i said or wrote i'd be one conservative individual. :D

I only really post when I have something funny to say or something that I think needs saying. Sometimes I think my comments are on the borderline of not being needed, hence I delete them.

how many posts would you have if you didnt post them!?!?! :p

Yes I do that quite regularly. I might spend several minutes composing a post and then think twice about it. Even more regularly I post and wish I hadn't done, because it adds nothing to the thread or someone else has already made the same point or whatever.

Yer quite a lot, often ill type one out look at it and then change bits, but just as often ill read it back to myself, think about it and just delete the whole thing and go somewhere else.

I do it with replies when I write something and suddenly realise I'm not really adding anything worth-while.

Have a habit of doing that, but also cancelling what i've wrote, then refresh the thread and someone else types what i was going to and it comes across alright as well.

Yes I do it all the time and get to the end and realise that what I have just typed is totally irrevelant or contradicts what I said before.

yep sometimes i feel like having a real go at someone over something they posted then realise it would be too personal and breaking the rules and cant be bothered to start an arguement with them

only time i do delete stuff is when i've been drunk and been allowed access to a computer.

had numerous posts on some bike forums which i didnt realise i had posted as i was so drunk i didnt even realise i went on the PC...

none of it offensive.... but totally imcomprehensible lol.

Yes, all the time. I often spend quite a lot of time mulling over even the shortest of posts before clicking 'Submit Reply'.

Either I don't have the energy to bring the post to a full conclusion, or I find myself distrac

I do it all the time and have used it effectively recently to cut back on my posts.
Also i constantly tell myself " If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing "

I do it every so often, if I don't think I can add something to a discussion or I don't think my response was appropriate/funny/expressed correctly then I'll delete it and I might start again.

Yes.

Sometimes what I'm saying isn't worthwhile......wait a second, if that were true I'd have zero posts here at all. Ok, so I'm lying - sometimes I know for a fact that my views will cause someone to scream horrible names at me and then I might scream back....and I kinda like coming here.
