Not sure if this has been asked before, but thought I'd pop in a new thread anyway.

Do you ever try and explore the Internet a bit more? By that I mean, do you often and purposely go looking up anything and everything; just to see what's out there, or broaden your horizons...

Personally I find that I often stick to a pretty small selection of websites - a handful of news outlets, the odd tech one, here of course, Youtube, the usual suspects for online shopping, a bit of Reddit, and some 'art' sites but that's about it. Whenever I need to find something out, or am a little curious, I'll Google and pick at a few of the results - but I'm only ever really looking at a tiny tiny fraction of what is out there.

I remember back in the late 90s when it was all Freeserve 'free' dial up, and my Dad picking up a magazine called "Internet" or some such original title, which listed lots of different sites under categories; I guess back then it was a novelty to be able to bring up almost anything on a Yahoo search. Even Loaded used to give you lists of sites to go and look at - mind you, when a lecturer at college found them, she gave the class a talk about how "disgusting" it was (probably Office Pest) :D

I often think about how much stuff is wasted on me, as I don't go looking - maybe Google searching has made me lazy, but it would be mildly interesting to know if anyone else sticks to the same old few sites.

Seems like a common thing to do, sticking to a small selection of known and trusted sites, mind you - with all the **** out there; it's nice to be safe I guess.

Will have a look at stumbleupon at some point though, thanks for the tip.
