I've been accused of never getting the teas in. Well not enough anyway. Then this..

http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/n...aking-the-tea-can-aid-promotion-16003931.html

Over half of workers were reluctant to offer to make a round of tea or coffee because colleagues had become more demanding with their orders.

This mainly. I only have to get 5 or 6 in but I struggle to keep up with peoples order. Strong, weak, cappa, double cappa, sugar, green tea, etc Aghhh People change their minds then I get moaned at and abused.. So I don't bother!

Bring back the tea lady I say and let's eat cake!

Are you in the 41% that do their share?

When I worked at Asos it was the done thing, people wouldn't make you one if you didn't make them back!

I'll happily get the tea in, but there's only ever three variables - tea/coffee, black/white, sugar. That's the option, and if they want something else they can damn well get it themselves.

Usually just make a pot of either for meetings then people can sort what they want, or get the reception girls to sort the refreshments :p

I find its easier just to make a little list next to the kettle which shows if people like tea and coffee and how they like both. Then all you have to do is ask if people want tea or coffee and as long as you can remember who said tea and who said coffee you go to the kitchen and can see from your list who likes it in what way.

Im in the percentage that is willing to make tea and coffee.

There is someone in our team who is slacking off in the tea/coffee making. We usually just fill his desk with our empty cups and we printed the step-by-step tea making guide off wiki which starts with "place cup in an upright position":D

As for special orders, we used to work with a bloke who made it clear that he only makes 2 type of drink for people. Coffee with milk + 2 sugar or Tea with milk + 2 sugar. He stuck to it as well.

never, because i don't drink the stuff. besides, the little clique who did used to make it for one another only slagged off each others efforts anyway

You get Tea NATO standard or just white if I'm making it. Or you pay me.

I used to make it for the office, it was great. I got to go and sit down in the kitchen, read the papers, doss about, eat some cakes, for an hour each day. Didn't bother me in the slightest.
