Do you guys enable the VRR setting in windows 11...

Do you guys enable the VRR setting in windows 11 i thing its put on by default if you have a gsync/freesync monitor connected, surely it would conflict with the nvidia gsync settings ? thx

Never even looked at it to be honest. Gsync working fine on my PG42UQ. I will have a look tonight to see if it's enabled or not.

I have it, might be enabled by default in W11 with supported hardware / monitors. Can't say it's caused me any issues.

It says it's for games that don't support VRR but I thought VRR was a wholly hardware related thing. Tried with it both disabled and enabled, Couldn't tell a difference.

VRR is amazing on OLED displays, switch it on and set back and enjoy

Yeh i have VRR on my oled hdmi port, but i mean the Built in windows 11 VRR setting, is that what your on about also ? thx

Thx for letting me know, i have read since posting this, that windows defaults to VRR enabled if it finds a gsync/freesync monitor.

It states that the VRR setting is for games that don't support VRR. Not sure what this means, as all games support it on PC as far as I am aware. It's a graphics card setting rather than game specific. If you enable it through Nvidia control panel and disable V-Sync in game then it's all done.

Yeh, so your keeping your windows 11 VRR disabled then ?

Found this when googling also. https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/os-variable-refresh-rate/ This new toggle enables VRR support for DX11 full-screen games that did not support VRR natively, so these games can now benefit from your VRR hardware.
