Just a quicky,

Do you guys throw away boxes for your components?

Only asking because I'm moving soon and don't want to carry all the empty boxes with me.

Am I still covered by warranty if I throw the box away but still keep the receipt and warranty documents?

I keep the mobo, gfx, psu boxes also and put all the other component's boxes inside them along with the spare parts and manuals

Keep them as long as the warranty last for, Just in case I need to send anything back.

Always keep the component boxes i.e. mobo, CPU, Graphics & memory as these I think will be pretty essential for RMAing.
Wish Id kept the box for our LCD TV though when it needed to go back. :(

I always keep them.

If you need to RMA, you'll need the box.

If you want to sell, you'll need the box unless you're willing to take a hit to the valuation.

I generally keep all (computer) boxes.

I bought a Cambridge Audio A5 amp sometime ago, and threw the (original) box away, I then want to trade the Cambridge in against a Nad, however, because i did not have the original box, I lost £5 on the trade in price, so the motto of this story is "keep your original box!" ;)

I try and keep as many as I can postal boxes and item boxes and jiffy bags. I only do this so I can reuse them when selling ;)

I also do this, its great way of recycling and means i have the packaging needed to hand when i sell somthing, so i can get it quickly and efficiently dispatched :D
