As the title really, do any of you guys use FLUX or anything similar and why?

I use it mainly because it helps my eyes and prevents them from hurting when typing in a dark room, or at night time. I use the 3400k setting on FLUX, and I don't find it too dark, or orangey.

Any comments or feedback on how you guys use/if it would be great. :)

I use f.lux and it's awesome. On my phone I use twilight. Works a treat and I definitely feel the difference with regards to eyestrain.

My FLUX setting is 3400k and it's fine. The only time I disable it is for colour sensitive work. But I try not to do that too late at night because of the strain on my eyes.

Yes, I do. I've forgotten who it was on here that suggested it several years back, but I honestly couldn't be without it now. Marvellous piece of software (3400K here).

I seem to recall that I had just upgraded to a new monitor (Samsung T260), & found that my eyes were struggling rather a lot to adjust to the jump in intensity. I guess I could have fiddled with it more to find a natural balance, but fortunately someone posted details of this amazing little gem of software. I'm so glad they did.

I did use FLUX for a while, but when i reformatted i just forgot all about it tbh. I suppose i gradually got used to not using it. My monitor despite being old is very bright out of the box. But thankfully i had wrote down the settings from when i got it calibrated. Thats over 7 years ago now. Yes i need a new monitor.:D

I'll be weird and post to say no.

However I'm reading that people are using screens in the dark... which is something I both hate doing and don't do (anymore). I have previously spent years using a CRT monitors in unlit rooms and I'm fairly sure that did me no good.

Believe I calibrated my samsung T220 once and then never touched the setting buttons again. In its room its obviously brighter than the room but there's no harsh contrast to mess with my eyes.

It's good to know other people use it too. I find it helps big time at night time with eye strain.

Is Lux or twilight on Android devices too?
I'm looking for something for my Z3, it's rooted if that means anything.

I must say that I do struggle with watching TV after spending many hours working in front of a brightly lit computer screen.

Does anybody else struggle with vision after using a screen for too long?

I will try this software to see if its easier on the eyes at night.

I did, an eye test and a pair of near distance glasses did the trick.

I use it and I couldn't go back now. I use monitors in unlit rooms though. Or I set my LED bulb to the same colour as my monitors and it soothes.

I use f.lux. I had never heard of it until last year until someone I game with formatted and realized he didn't reinstall it, I was like "the f is flux?" so installed it to see what it's about and have left it since then. Seems to just turn down the brightness at certain times of day, or up.

First heard about F.lux when I built my PC, used it since then and it's terrific. Brilliant for folks like me who have terrible eyes for sight and sensitive to brightness.

f.lux is a god send, especially in one of the offices I work in (work across 2 sites) as it has no natural light and its all fluorescent tube lights.
It makes everything weirdly orange at first, but after using it for a while you realize how incredibly bright some screens are
