At home, work, in the car?

I personally have to have a place for everything, i like things to be tidy and in order, my partner isn't as bothered, she doesn't mind leaving things out until the next day, or putting something where it doesn't 'normally' go.

Probably a bit of OCD or what ever coming through, but i'm the same at work, in the car etc, everything has to be in its "place".

How about you?

Nope, im forever moving things about finding new places for stuff.

I usually forget where ive put it when im trying to find it though.

All my possesions are free range although I'm starting to get concerned as my socks are now pairing up and moving round my room in packs....

take a look at the post your desk thread - there's some unbeleiveable pictures intere where people have placed the phone and about 20 other things mm perfect on their desks. My brain has trouble comprehending such anal retentiveness.

I like to know what I have and where it is as i'm quite resouceful in bodging things together so it's good to know what i have to work with :)

Depends... some things I keep in the same place all the time, like my keys, phone and wallet etc etc. Other things I don't really care where they go.

Well I don't move my computer desk around the house every 10 seconds if that's what you mean. Everyone puts things in certain places...

My mum always used to say "there's a place for everything and everything has its place". Unfortunately it's passed on to me, so yes :p.

Snap! :p

I'm really anal about stuff being put away in the right place / properly.. So much so, I have specific pockets for putting things in. Car keys in my left pocket, I don't think so! :D

Its not OCD, its called being tidy.

My BIGGEST pet hate is empty wrappers/boxes/containers being left out on the kitchen surface or in cupboards rather than being put in the bin that's less than a metre away from said place anyway. SO annoying.

Yeah, my place for everything is the floor in a big pile of mess.
I can find everything just by looking over the floor that way, not constantly looking through drawers.

You sure they're not being left out for recycling?

Definitely for me, everything has to be in it's 'place', I'm a proper neat freak. If there's anything that simply has to be on a tabletop surface then it has to be lined up. I once drove 15 miles from my fathers house back to my place because something was bugging me. I have a drawer full of Xbox games, and some of the spines of the game cases are white and have the name of the game usually in black font, and others have coloured spines, such as COD, Fallout 3, etc. I knew one of the coloured spined cases was lined up in amongst the white ones and it bugged me that much that I drove home just to rearrange them.

The same with my laptop, I can't leave it on a desk charging, it has to go in the laptop bag, and the charger has to go in the bag with it, with as little cable from the bag to the mains plug as possible. :(

I have a place for most things and then when I go to get one of them I find my wife has moved it to a 'better' location but she can't remember where.

Jesus! Some of your a tad bit mental!

My rooms a tip, im horrifically disorganised and know ill find everything at some point in a pile, somewhere.....
