Guys/ladys do you tick the box in your mouse settings that says Enhance pointer precision ??

Think it auto speeds up the mouse movement as you move the mouse...

But I maybe wrong

It's mouse acceleration, so NO!

To make the pointer work more accurately when you're moving the mouse slowly, under Motion, select the Enhance pointer precision check box.

I never even open that. Ever.

I only use the software that came with the 2 mice I have connected to my PC. Razer Lachesis & Logitech MX610.

mouse acceleration = epic fail. Get some skill at moving your hands small amounts.

Unless you only use the PC for surfing, email, etc I'd turn it off. I wouldn't rely too much on the M$ help files for good advice. Mouse acceleration was useful back in the old days when mice had very low dpi. Whether it's gaming or applications that benefit from precision, this option will only frustrate you.

i find it annoying as hell even on desktop. I spose i could understand if you had a rubbish mouse. Decent mouse with on the fly dpi adustments > acceleration though
