Hi

I live with my parents so can't really just put the heating on but my parents seem to think its too warm to put the heating on now as its May. But im froze!

Anyone actually got their heating on or am I just crazy? :D

I have jogging bottoms on, skiing socks, a t shirt, a fleece and a hoody and im still cold. Especially my hands - may have to resort to putting some gloves on.. :p

Im living with my mum at the moment and she always has the heating on (mainly so we can leave a door open for stupid the dog).

Im really against it as its too hot to sleep most the time!

Not had central heating on since end of March. Best to save the money when it's tolerably mild. If I get cold I'll just chuck my hoody on.

Our flat is small enough to keep fairly warm anyway - currently sat in shorts & t-shirt...

Haven't had the heating on for a while, think our dial is set to 16 so if it gets below that it'll come on but it hasn't been on recently that I'm aware of.

It shouldn't matter what month of the year it is in regard to putting the heating on - if you're cold then you're cold but equally you could always put on an extra layer or two if everyone else is happy with the temperature in the house. The above stands provided you're one of those people who complains that it's cold because they can't wear just a t-shirt and shorts indoors all year round.

If you're already wrapped up and still cold then maybe you need to explain this to your parents or move to a warmer room in the house should one exist.

My heating has been off for a few months now and probably will be off for the next few as I don't often find London to be cold, even when other people are complaining about it the weather doesn't seem too bad.

Put it on the other evening, my flat gets pretty cold (ground floor, argh). I do find lighting a couple of tea lights does make quite a difference though. Not sure if there's much of a rise in temperature or if it's a psychological thing, but it works and is far cheaper than gas.
Windows are rarely open, as it just gets stupidly cold.
