Well, you may or may not have seen my other post about bulldog broadband.

Anyway, the facts are:
We have two lines, both on the 16Mbit package.
Both lines sync at or near 16Mbit, ones 15000 and the other is 18000.
Both lines have good stats.

Our line:
18086kbps up, 1021kpbs down
20.0db attenuation down, 0.0db up
9.7db noise margin down, 6.2db up

Both use wireless to distribute around the house.
We live about 200-300 metres from the exchange.

BOTH are limited to roughly 2Mbit speeds.

Why? Weve done everything pretty much and just cant see why on earth it would be limited.

What else could it be?

What hardware are you using to do the routing ? Have you been able to test a single PC connected to the line with a modem (not over wireless)?

I know I didn't manage to help last time...

But have you taken the wireless out of the equation and just used 1 PC wired to a router and tested?

Also from what are you trying to download, I hardly ever find a place that will max out my connection.

We have tested the line with just a laptop, without the wireless yes, still the same speed, although we didnt do it for long..

We use Zen files and a UK source for fedora to download. Otherwise we use www.speedtest.net

Try this on a direct wired connection and see what it comes out with overall. Single source speed tests are like playing russian roulette in terms of results given.

Using that speedtest our pings seem fine but the download rate is still recorded at roughly 2MB speeds.

If you did that test on a PC with a direct connection using a modem as suggested then it's looking like an ISP issue. If it was a line issue your sync rate would be a lot lower...

Yep, were gonna put in a ticket with the ISPA as i found on adslguide that one guy got it sorted through them and now has full speed.
