Do you know this odd sci-fi film?

I don't think the film was anything to do with vampires as such and was more like the mirror mirror evil queen stealing all ur lifeforcez to keep her young and beautiful kind of thing. I'm sure it was more sci-fi than horror.

That film's a true classic. The fact it has Captain Picard and Harry from Spooks in it, just makes things even better.

No idea what twisted video nasty Gort was watching back in the 80's though.

Doesn't totally match your description but it has desert bits and a woman in a box about to be impaled by lots of needles.

From the clips I've seen on YouTube it looks, er, hilariously bad!!

Battle beyond the stars? That had star destoryers, with boobs on if I remember correctly.

That could be it, I too remember seeing this back in the day, and the only scene I remember is also the needle box, there was definitely a woman in it and you saw the blood coming down the tubes although none of the clips on YT seem to have this.

Funnily enough I spotted it last night not long after I posted as it seemed someone else was after the name on another forum and one of the replies was accepted.
Looking at the youtube clips I'm really quite impressed with my memory of the film with the clinical needle chamber thing, the Star Destroyer rip off ships, the desert setting, and the date was prery spot on. Considdering I cant remember what I had for tea last night thats pretty damn good for me :cool:

I hope Gort gets to see this too. Thanks once again all

I saw this one as a kid at the cinema then years later on VHS and it really is bad. Love the Ennio Morricone theme though and do get the urge to have a listen from time to time.
