Do you know what was missing from Crysis?

Rain!

I mean i was playing through the assault level and i realised the change in weather from sunny to cloudy and then it hit me. Why a game with such a powerful engine does not have rain? We have time of day/sun/clouds but no rain. It could have lifted the game even further with rain on the amazon rainforest setting. Imagine rain having physics when hitting solid surface or the flora. Sure it would have crippled the performance but in time it would have been worth it.

You can get it afaik but you have to use TODs. Sadly there isn't any in normal gameplay for Crysis, as said there is some in Warhead though.

whats the mod for realistic deaths, ie one shot kills etc?

there is snow falling IIRC in 'paradise lost', tornadoes in the VTOL level, etc.

Ok after my last post i did a bit of search could not find any mod which adds rain to the game. There are mods such as rainy crysis but its a designed level and then there are tutorials on how to add rain through sandbox editor but nothing i could find which simply adds rain to the main game. Like a command line parameter which enables/disables rain. I know its asking for too much but i want it!

A game at the time which brought current hardware to its knees and kicked it in the face, and you wanted rain? You would be lucky if it even ran!

I was thinking this same thing when i played it! Only after starting crysis warhead did i see rain.
