Bit of a strange one,

For some reason i seem to know when i am going to be ill, i have a dull stabbing pain in my left Knee for a few days, the pain goes and i am left with a bit of a "Flemmy" Throat.
From then on, Man Flu...

I feel like this today :(

Maybe lack of sleep, i hope.

HOW DO YOU KNOW!?

I used to think I did.

No weird signs, just feeling like I'm on the edge of something. The last dozen or so times I've been wrong though.

I can't seem to catch anything these days, despite the fact that there's always someone I work in close proximity to with a cold/sore throat etc, and my wife's a teacher and always catching something from the kids.

unusually strong allergic response typical of strong hayfever which is unaffected by cetirizine hydrochloride is the immediate precursor to the majority of illnesses that i've had over the past few years.

Your body's defences firing up in response to something, whether it turns out to be an illness or just a playing-it-safe over-reaction on the immune system's part is very noticeable. Should you start getting chills, coughing, nausea or whatever I wouldn't consider it a strange and mysterious leap that you would expect it to potentially get worse.

But I imagine this would usually be a case of people not knowing the difference between the discomfort causing measures our body takes to protect itself in advance as opposed to actual symptoms that eventually manifest as a result of whatever ails you.

my immune system is knackered at the moment, so i have a tendency to catch most things that are doing the rounds. However, since christmas i've had more jabs than hot dinners and this seems to have helped prevent me from getting too ill.

Do I know it's coming? yeah, most of the time, and the sign normally is me getting really tired a day or so before something happens.

I'm never ill "cos i'm ard!!!" lol,

on a more serious note, i really don't catch a lot, i tend to get small little bugs (headache, feeling sick etc) that last the day but nothing that lasts any longer than that. I guess i'm one of the lucky ones. However i do feel i'm missing out as i believe i'm one of two left in the office that haven't taken a day off sick. I get sick pay and never have the opportunity to use it (i don't like lying and pulling sickies).

EDIT: so generally no i don't know it's coming, for example yesterday evening i felt rough as hell (headache, feeling dizzy etc.) despite being fine for football on that morning, however now i am completely fine.

Its strange, i can be fine for Months, then i get a month of feeling ill and tired.

Maybe a trip to the GP is on the cards.

Self Diagnose isnt the way forward.
