Do you like having an empty house?

I agree, the day is great... you can walk around the whole house naked :D

but in the night I don't enjoy it :(

My parents work all day and are here all night... so it works out pretty well for me :D

But I much prefer my own space. The first night on your todd is always odd, but I rapidly get used to it.

I spend a fair few nights on my own when my housemates go away for a while / go stay at a friends / whatever. I like it. No noise when going to bed, no noise to wake you up next morning, nobody to make a mess etc etc. Is a bit dodgy though, my house is probably the least secure house I have ever come across.. Could break in so easily it's untrue, and coupled with the fact I live opposite a load of countryside at the top of a hill, it can be a bit scary when the noises start at 1am :(
 
I'm sitting home alone right now. Nice comfy chair, a Stella, a packet of crisps and a bit of music/TV. Not much comes close.
 
I like having some time to myself everynow and again.

The problem is when my fiancee is home I feel kinda guilty for spending time on my computer, so I don't get much time on it until after she's gone to bed normally.

Also means I can forum (ooh, I've just verbified it!) without getting disturbed every 10mins. I get a bit irritated if I get called away in the middle of writing a post to help with dinner, a cuddle or some other nonsense.

Like Syph, I've never had any problem keeping myself entertained. Always got games to play, films to watch or books to read. One of the reasons why I never used to get bored during summer hols at school etc (nor wanted to get a summer job).
 
I prefer being around people however there are up sides like being able to go to the loo with the bathroom door open and being able to watch Eastenders in peace so it isn't all bad. :D
 
Live on my own :). It's the perfect antidote to the last 3 years of my life (living with up to 6 other people at a time. I could be naked right now..!
 
Wish I could live alone all the time but thats not to be. I always look forward to an empty house, its bliss not having to concern yourself with anybody else. Only misgiving I have about it is that it feels less safe with nobody else around.
 
i have the house to myself 3-4 days a week so i get the best of both worlds. I kinda like being on my own but it can get a little boring sometimes, although theres plenty of jobs around the house that i 'could' do.
